Impression of Sendai Historical and Cultural Tourism Symposium

I want to make Sendai city the oriented tourism city, as well as Japan the oriented tourism country.

So, I decided to attend Sendai Historical and Cultural Tourism Symposium, sponsored by Ms. Kori Kazuko, Sendai city's mayor.

 

 

Entirely, this symposium was the speaking and discussing about the fascination about Date Masamune, the warrior making Sendai city.

Panelists, such as Mr. Matsumura Kunihiro, love Masamune because Masamune had lived special life and intended to trade with foreign countries in 1600s era.

 

 

Date Masamune had survived despite many dangers such as many rumor of betrayal to Hideyoshi and Ieyasu.

And he dispatched Hasekura Tsunenaga to intend to trade with foreign countries

From such foreseening view, most people in Sendai love Masamune.

But in symposium, panelists didn't refer Masamune's cruel action, such as killing his little brother, killing women and children of enemies and so on.

 

 

Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed, because panelists hadn't showed how to make Sendai the oriented tourism city by using Masamune.

However, it seemed that they want  to see NHK taiga drama that Masamune is the protagonist again.

They wanted Hasekura Tsunenaga to become the protagonist of taiga drama too.

By 2036, construction of Oote-mon Gate of Sendai Castke is likely to complete, so in the year, they want to see NHK taiga that Masamune is the protagonist.

 

 

Start of with, it may be better that I write this article with English, to feature Date Masamune's fascination and this symposium.

At this rate, it's the best for me if I can introduce the fascination of Hakkenden and Tateyama.
