Various Fighting Games Featuring Various Characters
Recently, Sumikko Gurashi: Omoide Album (Memory Album) was released. Hmm? “Memories”? Does that mean this is the end of the series? It’s true that lately Sumikko Gurashi seems to have been somewhat overshadowed by Chiikawa. “Every popular work eventually fades away and gives up its place to the next generation.” Is that what’s happening here? Still, it would be a shame. Half-jokingly, I’ve even found myself thinking, “Why not bring together San-X characters—including Sumikko Gurashi, Tarepanda, and Rilakkuma—and make a versus fighting game?” The battles might not have much intensity, but perhaps that could be turned into part of the game’s charm. (Maybe the characters would waddle around, trading little, comical punches.) If a versus fighting game sounds too conventional, perhaps they could make an RPG instead.
